The TFCC Wrist Orthosis Short is a 25 cm wrist brace designed to provide adjustable support and help control rotation of the radius and ulna. Three numbered elastic straps work with an integrated Boa® system to combine flexibility with individually adjusted stability.
Features
- Integrated Boa® system allows individual adjustment of support on the ulnar side of the wrist.
- Three numbered elastic straps guide the order of application for support and compression.
- A strap positioned over the TFCC ligament area helps stabilise the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ) and radiocarpal joint (RCJ).
- Three integrated friction surfaces provide sensory feedback during rotation and loading to help joint position awareness.
- A wide metal splint on the palm side can be individually adjusted.
- Two flexible metal splints on the back of the wrist provide support during wrist extension.
- A rounded forearm edge is designed not to interfere with elbow bending.
- Short, anatomically tapered design with a 25 cm length; model TFC101.
Suitable For
- Support around the TFCC ligament area and stabilisation of the DRUJ and RCJ.
- People needing adjustable wrist support and control of forearm rotation.
- Providing additional sensory feedback during rotation and loading following surgery.
Usage Notes
Apply the centre strap containing the Boa® system first to support and compress the central part of the radius and ulna. Position the second strap over the TFCC ligament area, then the third strap near the forearm edge of the brace. The wearer can adjust the support to their individual needs.
