Thermoplastic Splinting Material with Moderate Memory and RTS

Manosplint Montana is a thermoplastic splinting material with moderate memory and moderate to maximum resistance to stretch. It is intended for fabrication of immobilisation and mobilisation orthoses, including wrist, thumb and hand orthoses.

Features

• Moderate memory: springs back slightly when heated.
• Moderate to maximum resistance to stretch: can be stretched and pulled around curves without thinning or losing control.
• Moderate drape: conforms to hand and wrist contours using moderate pressure.
• Maximum rigidity: splints hold their shape against the pull of strong dynamic components and hypertonicity.
• Uncoated surface is slightly sticky when warm. A permanent bond can be formed by applying dry heat and pinching the material together.
• Resists fingerprinting and leaves sealed, smooth edges when cut warm.
• Latex free.
• Suggested immobilisation applications include wrist, thumb and hand orthoses for paediatrics, tendon injuries, fractures, arthritis and neurological diagnoses.
• Suggested mobilisation applications include a serial static approach or use as a base for dynamic and static progressive designs.

• Perforation options: solid (unperforated) and 1%.
