3.2mm Splinting Sheet — Versatile Splint Material

A 3.2mm mouldable splinting sheet for novice and experienced splinters. Suitable for dynamic and static splinting, adult and paediatric positioning, and post-burn and post-surgical care.

Features

• Minimum to moderate resistance to stretch; tolerates minimum to moderate handling during moulding.
• Moderate drape, with contours quick to form using light to moderate pressure.
• Minimum to moderate memory; splints can be modified a few times without thinning and maintain their contours while cooling.
• Moderate rigidity when moulded. Circumferential splints remain flexible enough for donning and doffing while providing strength for immobilisation.
• Powder coating provides a tacky feel to help hold the material in place during forming.
• Wet bonds hold firmly but can be pulled apart once cooled. Dry heating two surfaces creates a strong bond.
• For a permanent bond, use solvent minimally and dry heat before bonding.
• Moderate resistance to fingerprints and resistance to showing stains.
• Smooth, self-sealing cut edges remain sealed after reheating.
• Handle on a horizontal plane and form in a gravity-assisted position using gentle, smooth motions.
• Latex free.
