TFCC Wrist Orthosis with Boa System for Adjustable Support

The Mediroyal TFCC Wrist Orthosis Long provides adjustable support and compression for patients requiring control of forearm rotation and stabilisation around the TFCC region. Its three elastic straps and integrated Boa system allow support to be adjusted to individual needs.

Features

• Numbered elastic straps guide biomechanically correct application.
• The centre strap, containing the Boa system, is applied first to support and compress the central radius and ulna to control rotation.
• The second strap sits over the TFCC ligament area to stabilise the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ) and radiocarpal joint (RCJ).
• The third strap sits near the proximal edge of the brace to maximise the lever arm for rotation stability.
• The Boa system provides individually adjustable support over the ulnar side.
• Three integrated proximal and dorsal friction surfaces provide sensory feedback during rotation and loading to support joint position sense.
• A wide volar metal splint can be adjusted individually; two flexible dorsal metal splints support dorsal extension.
• The rounded proximal section is designed not to interfere with elbow flexion.
